Hajj is the fifth pillar of Islam. There are many lessons that Muslims can learn from hajj, among which are the values of unity and equality. In hajj, all believers are required to perform the same rituals at the same time and no preferences are given to anyone according to wealth, race, sex, social position, and so on. They are all equal before God.
